Pre-Natal:
Pregnancy is such a special time, a time where change is abundant and constant. Change can appear as a challenge at times. Yoga helps us all to go with the flow, and move into the direction of change with ease, acceptance and often celebration. Classes include postures, breathing exercises and contemplations specifically chosen to ease a woman's body and mind through each stage of pregnancy and prepare it for child-birth, while allowing an opportunity to focus on and cherish the new life within. Pre-Natal yoga can help ease the discomforts of pregnancy, increase your bond with your baby, and promote a sense of calm and confidence in the power of your body and mind. No previous yoga experience is necessary.

Gentle/Beginner Hatha:
Hatha yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in North America. It is the branch of yoga which concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses body postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. There are nearly 200 hatha yoga postures, with hundreds of variations, which work to make the spine supple and to promote circulation in all the organs, glands, and tissues. Hatha yoga postures also stretch and align the body, promoting balance and flexibility.  In the gentle/beginner hatha class we will move through sequences slowly and carefully with lots of emphasis put on the breath and proper body alignment.

Hatha Flow:
Continuous transition from one posture to the next, linking breathing and mindfulness with movement. Focus in this practice is on movement, gently warming the body to allow flexibility, stability and a mindful focus on breathing.

Power:
Power yoga is a beautiful exploration of more physically challenging yoga postures. It requires the student to focus deeply on keeping the mind present and clear while the body works on detoxifying and becoming strong yet supple. In Power yoga, the emphasis is on bringing heat into the body to aid in detoxification as well as building lean muscle for strength, stability and flexibility.

Runner's Yoga:
Taught in a power style of yoga to bring heat to the body and quickly warm up the bigger muscle groups that will be the main focus, such as the quads, hams, glutes as well as the smaller muscles that can become weak and injured from repetitive movement, such as running, biking, etc., like the hip flexors, aikeyles tendons and IT bands. There will be emphasis on balance, flexibility and core strength. This class is suitable for anyone who participates in sports that include running or any repetitive motion.
